About Me
Aimee Dansie, LMFT
Hi! My name is Aimee. I enjoy listening to true crime podcasts while commuting to work, walking my dogs, or during any mind-numbing cardio session. Even though I am not very strong, I like to lift weights and feel accomplished when I can add an extra plate to my squat rack. I am quirky and do not take myself very seriously. I love being outside and will just sit out in the sun when I can’t go do something active. I played accelerated and high school softball and enjoyed the sport but never felt confident in my ability.
I trained as a Brainspotting therapist and found a group of therapists from around the world that work exclusively with athletes and performers. I knew I had found something I loved at that point. I wish someone would have talked to me about performance anxiety and showed me how to work through it. I could have been a much better player if I had the help I needed. I wanted to be the therapist who can help other athletes or performers struggling to play to the level they can.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have been practicing for 13 years. I have worked with substance abuse, depression, anxiety, trauma, family issues, and marital struggles. I am certified in Brainspotting therapy and have also trained in EMDR.
